Boys and Girls, grades 6th-8th grade, are welcome to participate with our Co-ed track and field program. The Track and Field team gives students an awesome opportunity to learn the sport and improve their skills. Runners will be able to try a variety of events, have fun and compete weekly against other students on the team and within the league.
First Practice: The first practice will be held during the last week of March (exact date/time TBD). There are no tryouts for the track and field program and spots are unlimited.
Practices will be 1-2 times per week and meets will be 1-2 times per week. All events will take place between school letting out and 8pm Monday-Thursday. We try to schedule as much as possible right after school lets out, but cannot accommodate all teams all the time. Please note, some practices may take place off campus at tracks and/or parks nearby to the school.
Season: The season runs from the end of March through the end of May. 6-8th grade participants will compete in meets against other schools in the ADAL league. The league ranges from schools in Half Moon Bay/San Mateo and goes as far South as Palo Alto.
UNIFORMS - Each player will get a RENTAL school uniform. If you/your student damages, loses or neglects to return the uniform, you will then be charged a $50 replacement fee.
MEDICAL CLEARANCE / PARENT CONSENT FORMS - All players must have a completed SCSD Clearance form completed and submitted prior to the first practice. Families may submit the completed forms via email to email@example.com or they mat be turned into the school’s front office The form may NOT be submitted without an official doctor’s star. The form stays valid for 16 months. Here is a link to the clearance form.
