Boys and Girls at Mariposa, SCCLC and Arroyo are welcome to join us for our 5th basketball season this spring. Girls and boys will be placed onto even teams that will compete against other local 5th grade teams. This is a semi-competitive program aimed to introduce and develop students into better basketball players. Score and rankings will be kept, but not placed ahead of the development of the player or person.

 

Evaluations: 

-Girls: 3/27, 2:00-2:45pm & 3/28, 4:15-5:00pm

-Boys: 3/27, 2:45-3:30pm & 3/28, 3:30-4:15pm

Please Note - The program has no cuts and all players will make a team. Also, attending all evaluation events is encouraged, attending only one is mandatory.

 

Practices: 1-2 times per week and games will be 1-2 times per week. All events will take place between school letting out and 7pm Monday-Thursday. We try to schedule as much as possible right after school lets out, but cannot accommodate all teams all the time. 

 

Season: The season will run for approx. 6 weeks with 6-8 games played between Central, Tierra Linda/Charter and potentially other local 5th grade teams. 

 

UNIFORMS - Each player will get a RENTAL school uniform. If you/your student damages, loses or neglects to return the uniform, you will then be charged a $50 replacement fee.

 

MEDICAL CLEARANCE / PARENT CONSENT FORMS - All players must have a completed SCSD Clearance form completed and submitted prior to the first practice. Families may submit the completed forms via email to scsdsports@legarzasports.org or they mat be turned into the school’s front office The form may NOT be submitted without an official doctor’s star.
